this shows no matter how pro black beyonce, Jay z are they’re interests are tied with upholding American liberal capitalism and helping to assimilate the black community through it culturally.

Anyways, whether Beyoncé admits it or not the struggle between black people and Palestinians are similar. Both are people that have been colonized and assimilated into a settler colonial state. The US and Israel sends billions to Israel every year.

no but Beyonce occupies a very unique and huge platform. We recognize that no single celebrity nor you or I alone are going to stop what is happening in Gaza.

But objectively putting pressure and agitation around the issue to make it harder for the US (who is the main funder of Israel,) to openly support what is happening right now. That is the most a person living in America can do.

Generating public consent is huge. There is a reason celebrities get used in times like these. Not even from an intentional standpoint (which is clear) but culture wise, if the dominant narrative is simply that Israel is just and that Hamas are terrorist that makes it easier for the US to continue green lighting this genocide and turn a blind eye.

The media narrative since Oct. 7 has been a whirlwind, with mainstream media sources showing multiple times having to backtrack or caught being forced to report on how obvious and apparent that power imbalance is. It’s not been perfect, but the agitation combined through social media, protesting, in the first world nations worldwide is part of why the media has been forced to reconcile with this.

It has also forced the “Left” in the West for all its use to draw a line between reactionaries and those who stand with advancing class struggle and revolutionary. This makes it easier to understand who your real allies are as well as expose and reprimand those who have a unique position.

So no it’s not a gotcha or new information to say that Beyonce isn’t going to stop the conflict but there is actual interests in getting huge figureheads such as Beyonce, Elon Musk, or larger (or even anywheee) to help normalize one stance or another.
