Didn’t Herbert not even chart on billboard in it’s first week? Makes sense he’s going more mainstream given how low he sold and I’m all for Soul getting a new broader audience just as long as it doesn’t get in the way of his top tier pen and high concept track ideas

The "concept" is basically how Doe Burger always used to tell him that he needs to make more mainstream music if he wants to get "paid" which is why on the intro he says "biggest lie I ever told is that it's not about the money" and on Peace he uses Doe Burger's voice which tells him to not worry about him and to "get paid"
Idk it's maybe deeper than that
I just feel like the execution could've been better because I don't see this album doing much for him commercially hopefully I'm wrong tho
