And sounds like maybe some of that money could've been put towards food and better agriculture than the nuclear power.
They're not "showing off" for the sake of showing off, they're "showing off" as a means of deterrence to avoid invasion by the US and South Korea, a comprador state to American imperialism. The example of Libya, if nothing else, shows the need for countries to have strong and nuclear-equipped militaries in order to remain sovereign
Sure there is internal mismanagement of the North Korean economy as one would/could expect of any country under any economic model. But the famine allegations of today are extremely exaggerated and largely unsubstantiated, and these shortages are still due to US embargo and military aggression that is stopping ten trillion dollars of international trade for the NK economy
In the conflict between the US, South Korea, and North Korea, the US is the bad guy, SK is more of a hostage situation by the US than anything else, and NK are the "defensible" guys, if not quite the good guys

I think it’s different because when our age group watched South Park, it was presented as entertainment, a show. With all these streamers and influencers, their audience has a more “personal” relationship with them as if they’re actually their friends.
Like these kids will watch Adin basically live life for hours a day, thus they have a stronger connection to him and are more likely to be influenced more strongly.
