ngl if this is just based on rapping ability and not like impact/influence and sales/numbers star power etc then i might agree w op tbh
50’s lyricism is strongly underrated. His song writing skills are solid af too. Just check his entire 2000’s catalogue, mixtapes included.
50 was the biggest rapper in the world
Ross is the better lyricist tho
How is Ross better lyrically? What lyrics is he spitting that’s better than 50?
Your mammy, your pappy, that b**** you chasin
Your lil dirty ass kids I’ll f***in erase em

i don’t bop i do the $ dance
50 had the better prime but Ross has had the better paced career
Ross would have saved 50 musically beat wise and I’d love to see Ross in one of 50 shows. That’s the real loss lol

He’s much better at imagery while 50 has the smoother delivery
Thread shoulda been locked after this
you know what you right but it wasn’t locked because i’m right
You can’t even really compare the music if we are being completely honest. They were completely different lanes and excelled in their own lanes respectively. 50 had the gangsta rap on lock and had his era on lock. Nobody can deny that. Massacre was a good album, GRODT is objectively classic. Rick Ross excelled making what I (and I’ve seen other people) call luxury rap. He’s always glided over those smooth beats that feel like money and soul. People saying he doesn’t have a classic but I’d argue Teflon Don is one. God forgives I don’t is pretty good too. And his single catalogue is immaculate.
In short. I don’t consider one over the other because they just don’t make the same music
did Rick Ross make a movie and star as himself in that movie

Bulletproof still a classic, need a remaster of Blood on the Sands for PC and newer consoles
50 in his prime was (and still is) known worldwide
but currently 50's phase has ended, gangsta rap is appealing only while you're young
op the son of a fed
50 Cent is doing a world tour 20 years on from his prime
Rick Ross is beefing with DJ Envious
Come on now. Stop it.
Boy must have put meely all up in your champagne
Ross is better overall but didn’t have the peak 50 did even though it was very short lived. GRODT is better than any Ross album period
