Music is healing?
Nigga music is dying lmao
There's like 10 artists who really move the needle and all of them are either vets or blew up pre covid. 2020s has no real stars and it's gonna hurt the industry real bad in the next few years.
There are enough 2010-2020 artists still alive to milk for plenty long enough to bridge the little gap

Yeah but musicianship is lowkey gonna be lost by the next generation cause these young mfs just want to be social media and twitch famous or make bs distorted underground music that just isn't good.
It's not heading in a good direction is all I'm saying
GNX has Luther, TV Off and Not Like Us by proxy. $$$ has no songs you hear outside.
Nokia
Gnx ain't left the top 40 since it debut too with a high chunk of it's tracks I still in the top 40 and most of the rest are still in the top 100 besides 2 songs
Might end up the biggest rap album of the streaming era ever so far if it continues it's already unprecedented trend - following the footsteps of NLU being the biggest Rap song of all time ever so far in the streaming era which also hasn't left the top 40 since its debut on YouTube (the og drop with the mansion coverart, not the video) with it's own unprecedented streak
This is all on Billboard and Spotify but ALSO the Drake approved not botted platform called Apple Music as well
The people have spoken - "real people want real music, the jig is UP"
Not Like Us is the most overrated rap song of all time
the last time drake dropped a 14 track album it flopped so i doubt hes going back to that
It flopped bc the ppl weren’t ready for greatness

Valid concerns

It was an experimental album and a passion project dedicated to Virgil, he wasn’t really chasing hits or numbers on that one.
So sales matter now
Only when sales annoy Drake stans who spent the better part of a decade watering down music discourse with banal, personally irrelevant statistics on sites like this one.
Speaking just for myself, I couldn't care less how much Kendrick sells. I don't get a commission and there are hundreds of artists I love who never feature on any Billboard chart.
It's nice to see a great artist win and an annoying fanbase lose. That's all.
She may be one of them. She definitely seems like a candidate for a Drake or Kendrick type positioning of the next big 3 assuming everything goes normal from here
Also my personal feelings aside that straight male comment probably killed off a lot of her momentum with male listeners, which has always been the biggest barrier with a woman rapper truly taking over the game as a top rapper. folks gotta tread carefully picking who to pander to lol. Drake s*** also kinda got shakey inversely when he went too Andrew Tate-y and started being too antagonistic towards women.
yall still wanna do this big 3 s***
those 50 song CB albums are classics in my eyes but you guys would rather listen to whats popular and what makes you feel special. not real music lovers im afraid...

That type of s*** should be genuinely because the artist has that much music and wants to give it to the world
Once its over that 21 song marker the artist just flooding with a bunch of s*** and that lowkey even hurts sales because I know i instantly dont even try to listen to albums like that beyond randomly skipping around lol
GNX might prove the masses want "real music" but that doesn't mean artists are capable or going to give us it, lol.
Damn album got twice as many songs and still got out sold its not looking good for the boy
