A lot of you are getting too caught up on me saying ‘MBDTF tier’

I’m not saying it’s as good as that album, I’m saying that the things that made MBDTF such a figure in pop culture are the same things that make After Hours get put into the same category of albums that are “moments”.

Quality isn’t really a big factor here.

It’s more than just commercial and critical success though, that’s just one of the points I laid out

I’ve never understood the universal praise for MBDTF honestly. Not tryna diss it but it’s just never clicked for me

MBDTF had one radio hit, didn’t know that was something people really associated with the project. It was a middling commercial performance and was not dominant or everywhere, Drake and Em were much bigger that year

I personally never heard Power on the radio. Monster might’ve got a play in a DJ mix hour but definitely wasn’t a radio hit, these songs had a different kind of impact
