I feel like looking at the worst AI generated art to s*** on as representation of all art is kind of a cop out. AI won't replace illustrators just yet as DALLE is really just an incredible tool, but I've seen good art and only discussing the Beeple looking garbage is cope
Your capability to create good AI art is relative to your creativity similar to when creating regular art. It's the tool that's different. Creating good DALLE images isn't easy. You have to iterate, stitch things together, have good ideas on what looks good as a complete image

I've spent hours making literal artwork on nightcafe. I'm tryna get my hands on Dall e cause this looks insane. How do you use it, i cant figure it out

Oh I don’t disagree and it’s funny because if I wanted to push this in a direction in a more thorough manner I’d share links like the one u did. Matt’s been on this web3 tip since I was in highschool so it’s crazy seeing the development of some his ideas come to fruition because the tech is there (and I’m assuming being partners with holly and sharing a life with someone interested in the same material helps)
In my mind I didn’t see it s***ting on representation as a whole and I was more so focused on the small subset of art that’s created by illustrators like Eric, who was able to take advantage of a different shift (trad illustration to digital and programming based). So I guess I’m interesting in his perspective on this. But I’m also thinking about the future of these AI and how capable they will rapidly become

N yea I get that there is a skill in promoting, in database selection etc. I don’t really disagree with u I just don’t think some of what is considered the “worst of ai art” is really all the bad or different then what people consider the worst of human art lol.
I don’t agree with everything within the link I shared but thought some was interesting.
We need this but for music
I wanna plug in yeezus and get an album like it. Would be fire.

Oh for sure. What this means for illustrators is certainly different than what this means as an art form in itself, which is kind of what Eric’s article was about. I was honestly just reading the other essay and found it interesting
@Moonchaser why u both say no? It’s gonna get exponentially better
yeah the pace of advancement is unprecedented and the barrier to creating realistic images that look good will be significantly lower
but if you’ve been following this field for years you gotta know how boring and repetitive a lot of images are. Like most of the ones in my posts. They’re fun for a second but few of em have any artistic merit
These models will just enable people to do a lot more, but everyone will be bored of most of these images in 3-6 months. At least from an artistic perspective.
Artists will be the ones pushing tools built on these models to their limits and making creative interesting work
sure the stock photography and formulaic illustration industries are in trouble and I feel for anyone who loses a job due to these tools. but it’s not much different from previous technological advances besides the fact that this level of capability will come as a surprise to a lot of people
But take a look at the range of quality in this thread (including my posts) alone and you’ll see what I mean

@Phlegm on the other hand think of what could be enabled, the new things people can do that they previously didn’t have the resources to do. I made a bunch of tables with help from a furniture designer friend who literally had a client ask if she could make two of em lmao…I thought she was kidding
To anyone who spent years studying and making art…it wasn’t in vain. Ive seen a LOT of understandable negative energy from people about these models…. But Just embrace this technology as a tool. Implement it into your workflow
Same goes for the music models that will shake the music industry soon enough
this is also how I feel about models which write code. I don’t feel threatened. Codex and copilot allow me to do more, faster. They allow me to learn new languages and concepts as Im learning them, and they take a lot of the monotonous work out of the picture
Bio mechanic dolphin request plz

No bs I’d love to interview you someday about the creation of this site on Korruptionstudios.com
Bit missy and AI looking but still thought it looked cool. Started with the Man Alive cover top left
