I never said it didn’t make sense lol I jested my perspective is probably a rare one because while I understand it, it’s just not for me because I see them as a means for the game and would even argue that collecting them and putting them on a wall hurts the people that might want those cards for playing the game (not always the case but it def happens)
But I do think those resin casts ppl do with cards in them are p cool ngl
People saying the same s*** with sneakers though Resellers/hypebeasts getting them instead of actual sneaker heads and people who care about the history of a shoe. And there's people who don't wear their shoes, just keep them in storage to have. Fat Joe not wearing all his pairs and there's tons of people doing the same thing on a smaller scale

yes and I don’t like them either so idk where you’re going with this
@RedEyeJedi the first post of mine you quoted was me saying spending money on Pokémon cards you’re gonna let sit and buying shoes to wear isn’t the same tho. cause it’s not lol
You’re thinking far too deep into this now for the sake of a debate
Whatever they bought previously does not diminish the multiplier of that individual card because those cards in those other packs have their own value regardless how high or low, they’re their own cards
It definitely plays a role, because their margin isn't as big as you're saying. Let's say someone buys 50 packs at $2 each, spent $100. They draw a card that they could sell for $400. That's a far different margin than just spending $2. And it could play a role in their decision on whether to buy or sell
But we are getting too deep into hypotheticals and debates, I'm just going to let bro answer you on why he's keeping them

ok sure
If you have a $2 Pokémon card you’re not selling for 100x+ profit you’re dumb nothing will ever change my mind on that

I just think anyone familiar with the sneaker culture shouldn't be that surprised by Pokémon card collecting. There's a lot of overlap. Outsiders would probably be looking at some sneakerheads and saying some of the same things you guys are

I feel the same way about niggas I see wearing TS and Off White Jordans Like the shoes are nice but you're giving up a heavy bag by wearing them

There’s 0 overlap for me unless you’re actually playing the card game which I know no one itt is lmao

There's an equivalent to this in sneakers though Hella people buy valuable shoes and don't wear them. That's what I'm saying, if you're aware of what goes on in sneaker culture, Pokémon cards shouldn't be that surprising

What time is it where you are
Kinda interesting how man has 0 smoke for resellers btw
How’d you come to this conclusion
if you collect pokemon cards for investments you already lost
