Of course there are more car accidents, there are more cars on the ground! But, I can get in a car accident and have a chance of surviving. A plane crash you have a small chance, maybe, but you are more than likely dead
Also, if you have a medical emergency in a car, you can just pull over and call 911. Something happens in a plane and you are absolutely f***ed
Planes are nuts. Necessary, can’t dispute that, but absolutely insane
Even if you consolidate it to an area of 100,000 people (roughly the amount of flights that fly per day) - there is a 99.9% chance of there being more car accidents in that area versus a single aviation accident.
I work in aviation and the amount of safety requirements and work that goes into even a single aircraft flying is beyond a normal passengers comprehension.

Jan 30US Army should be sued for wrongful death damages. The helicopter pilot disobeyed FAA regulations to not approach the flight path, it was 100% a preventable accident that was entirely the fault of that pilot.
