This is the honest truth. If you've been a real Drake fan, you know that the only verifiable source you can trust when it comes to Drake's own music is Drake himself because people actually close to Drake never spill details on what he's got going on.

If y'all really knew that, y'all wouldn't make a thread anytime a random person claimed to know something about forthcoming Drake music and y'all would simply wait for the real information from Drake himself.

Drake isn't telling Akademiks intimate details about his album and anyone who believes that is stupid. Akademiks guesses. That's all he does. Especially when it comes to Drake. He's the same idiot who posted that fan art cover with the owl and captioned it "soon" and had people on here going crazy saying that Drake was dropping soon when he just happened to see the fan art, stole it, posted it without crediting the person who actually designed it, all to act like he knew more than he actually did. He kept saying the album was coming last year. It changed from June to July to August to September until Drake posted the CLB trailer and then he shut up. He's done countless things to prove he actually doesn't know anything about what Drake has going on but people on here are too desperate for Drake info to use common logic.

That doesn't mean anything. Stuff like that can leak if you're in the industry or just generally in the know. I knew something like DLDT was dropping 3 days before Drake said anything because I'm friends with some people who work in hip-hop media who are based in NYC. They told me not to say anything and I didn't (partly because I didn't believe it). I could have come here to claim I got it from Drake's camp directly and I would have eventually been proven right and people would have believed me. That's what many of these clout chasers do.

Information like that can leak, especially when what is being worked on is all finished and is on the way.

But after all the leaks Drake has suffered in the last year, anyone who thinks he's out here telling people when he's dropping and what he's dropping is simply stupid. If anything, he's more guarded about information like that now more than ever before.

Another example: that LowkeyUHTN dude who played Lucky Lefty on his IG live and got pressed by Drake about where he got the record from. I follow him on Twitter. After that IG live, people were asking him how he got the record and he was acting like he got it straight from OVO and was using it to flex and feel himself. Turns out, someone random just sent him the record because he's in the industry, not because he knows Drake or anyone in his camp who gave him the record. I just wish more people were willing to use their common sense and logic when it came to believing clout chasers and their claims.
