if they really f*** with you. They will pay for the tickets to see you. You cant fake that. All other numbers can be faked
There's a lot of artists I f*** with.
I'm not paying a ticket to hear them muffled through horribly EQ'd big speakers in an arena because I had to pay for the nosebleeds since front row seat cost the same as rent lol.
Wondering when the music industry gon' approach the whole accessibility thing especially in a pandemic year.
Especially all these pro-black artists that are just so so tired of performing to an audience of mostly white people. I aint saying s*** gotta be free cause venues gotta make they money and artists too.
But you see the price of some of these tickets and the black neighborhoods/venues that they're performing in and you gotta ask yourself, who are you really trying to perform to?

still. Ticket sales cant be faked. You sound like a casual listener. Someone who really rocks with the artist is likely to see them live

You're talking to someone that used to actually buy CDs/purchase from the Itunes Store when you could still do that sort of a thing so f*** you for that lmfao.
Your statement is definitely not true for every super fan.

These companies don't care about accessibility as long as s*** is "selling out"
"you sound like a casual listener"
Nah, I sound like a nigga that actually works audio engineering gigs.
Some of yall definitely be learning words like "industry plant" and "casual listener" cause yall don't be knowing what those words really mean at all

there's artists i love and listen to daily i have close to zero intentions of seeing perform. I don't listen to MBDTF every day but if I could see Kanye perform it back to back I'd go in a heart beat. I listen to Jay Z and Majid Jordan damn near daily but idk how much i'd want to go to either of their shows aside from the more intimate show hov's been doing
you can be a HUGE ARTIST and just not have poppin live shows it's a real thing

Not even just that. It's still a lot of us (myself included) that are not willing to roll the dice just yet at attending huge ass concerts/festivals anytime soon.
Watching Coachella audiences from the stream pre-pandemic used to have me feeling claustrophobic, you think a nigga is about to go NOW?
shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiet!

Ok well ur in the minority then. Doesnt change the fact that most real fans will come out in live shows. Live shows are our best representation of wether an artist is really connected with the masses. All other numbers can be faked. What arent you getting?
1 person can stream a song 100s of times but can only go to a concert once
Okay and what does that matter lol

That depends on size, cities, and state. Some of these Lil Baby shows are in f***ing arenas. No one outside of the f***ing obvious should be doing arenas right now imo. And also, every city and state aint gonna f*** with you ALL the time :word:
Like...fam Drake got booed off f***ing stage at Tyler's festival. There is no artist ever that's gonna universally connect with every person in the country. That's just humanly impossible.
There's more to hip hop than just the "big 3" you do know that right?
I don't see where this was brought up anywhere
HUGE doesn't line up with not doing well on tours though

So what about kids in highscool who can’t just pay and go to concerts

Lil Baby & Friends not selling out in goddamn Oklahoma and Arkansas does not mean "not doing well" imo.
The fact he got that many seats already is a good sign.

shhh, you making too much sense.
Okay and what does that matter lol
Music is a tool that is used to bring people together therefore creating a real sense of culture. Two vastly different experiences.

and concerts are clearly the only way people can be brought together
People weird for acting like performing to a crowd in a half capacity arena you can't sell out isn't anything but an L for how big you claim to be
S*** like ticket sales and billboard 100 only measures how big you are to mainstream America
Y’all are really acting like Baby ain’t a star because not enough tanners and callies bought tickets to his show in Arkansas lmaoo
