So all this huffin and puffing over s*** is entertaining, Ak wouldn’t even put a single out, let alone an album over a 10 year span

Stop it Meek is one of the GOATs of this decade

He still outsold Nas, so what if Ak went on this rant about Nas, it woulda been ok cuz Nas isn’t the hottest rapper rn?

no one cares if he you consider him a “goat.” we are talking about his relevancy right now.
You’re comparing Meek Mill’s first week sales to a rapper of another generation.. I don’t know anyone who has even compared Nas to Meek.

You might just be one of them delusional meek fans who think he still thinks he’s more relevant than he is. There’s many more other rappers of Meek’s niche that have surpassed the f*** out of him.

Why catch him lacking? Ak said they can get in the ring whenever.

  • Oct 8, 2021

Akademiks holds grudges that would make even the great uncle junior blush lmao

  • Oct 8, 2021

AK doesn't care about the #'s or how it can framed as a flop or not.

Meeks hates him and he hates Meek. That's all that's happening here.

Niggas do not set albums up anymore and expect people to stream s*** without proper roll outs.

Right. That s*** only benefits the die hard consumers unless you’re just one of the huge names.

I’ve had so many conversations with people about music coming out soon and they’d have no idea

Meek’s debut album dropped almost ten years ago and he’s still moving almost 100k in this climate. What’s the big deal not every act in hip hop is a superstar

I think this is what Ak is pointing out that Meek is not superstar anymore but he still moves like one and portrays himself as that superstar.

Not my perspective but I think this is Aks.

Meek’s debut was a decade ago I think it’s safe to say this isn’t really his generation anymore

And now I expect u to deflect and try to compare him to Kanye and Drake who are essentially pop stars

If u really think 89k bad for a street rapper who been in the game for over a decade +
Then u just an Akademik fanboy who relates to him

That’s why u itt b****in at the OP for cuttin his clip

If I remember correctly wasn't there a lot of promo and build up towards its release? EP released before the album dropped along with the hype of it being his first album release since getting out of jail. That whole 2017-2018 arc for Meek was crazy which led to a lot of hype for that album.

230k to 89k is a big drop, however it has been three years and the circumstances behind their releases are extremely different. With Championships I think its safe to say Meek overperformed in regards to sales. Expensive Pain sales performance seems to be right where Meek should be at this point in his career.
