He outsold 80% of the game this year
dwmtn sold 246k (drake feature, “rico”)
wins & losses 102k
championships sold 208k (had drake featured, “going bad”)
expensive taste: 80k~ (89k)
looks like meek mills trajectory has been declining as well his music quality. no one is comparing him to anyone. we are talking about how meek mill isn’t as big as he thought he was. he even considered himself a “big dog” as he told Ak. How are you one of big dogs in the game but your numbers aren’t reflecting that?
idk why meek has so many fans that want to paint him out to be some legend. i promise you’ll be ok if you never heard another new meek album.

Dreams Worth More Than Money dropped after he got outta jail. Does 246K.
Wins & Losses just a regular album he dropped. Does 102k.
Championships dropped after he gotta jail. Does 208k.
Expensive Pain just a regular album he dropped. Does 89k.
Noticing a pattern here for sure, but it seems like when Meek isn't fresh outta jail his album sales float from 80k-100k first week...seems to be doing alright to me
Akademiks and his fanboys are so f***in lame it really got me going to bat for Meek Mill and ion even listen to the nigga
Meek’s debut album dropped almost ten years ago and he’s still moving almost 100k in this climate. What’s the big deal not every act in hip hop is a superstar
Fr thats not bad
you are so cool
why are u mean to me i dont want to support his content because i dont like him and its gonna help him on he algorithm
lol if drake sold 140k would it be a flop
yeah but its meek mill
Detroit in 2020 did 103k which is in the same ballpark as 89k tbf and it was also a sequel album to highly regarded mixtape
Sean and Meek are good comparisons for eachother
why are u mean to me i dont want to support his content because i dont like him and its gonna help him on he algorithm
They softer than baby s*** like the nigga they idolize don't mind them.
Meek’s debut was a decade ago I think it’s safe to say this isn’t really his generation anymore
And now I expect u to deflect and try to compare him to Kanye and Drake who are essentially pop stars
If u really think 89k bad for a street rapper who been in the game for over a decade +
Then u just an Akademik fanboy who relates to him
That’s why u itt b****in at the OP for cuttin his clip
You even said yourself this isn’t his generation anymore. People are picking fun at Meek’s ego and acting as if he was still a huge star.
How is a “street rapper” still rapping about the streets but is trying to fight for prison reform? He wants to be an activist & still be in the streets?
& you another delusional d*** eating meek fan. i wasn’t mad at op for posting a clip, i just said he couldve posted the clip Ak had on his channel but i forgot theres people like you who try their best to avoid helping make Ak more money you f***ing pleb

Ak is only doing this because Meek been acting like he really doing numbers

so you gonna act like the drake features didn’t help either of his albums...?
Going bad peaked at #6
Rico peaked at #6
meaning both charted and were the LEAD singles of the album. wonder why they charted... you wouldn’t suppose the Drake feature?
Without context, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with Meek doing 80k on album 5 about 10 years in. That’s a pretty successful career.
It’s just that meek gets ahead of himself on social media and starts miscalculating who he is. He was shouting on the clubhouse that he’s a big dog and gatekeeper and that he can remove Ak from the culture and he just doesn’t have the pull to do so. So that’s where all this dumb s*** stems from.
I don’t care about numbers outside of being happy an artist I like is maybe prospering (you can have big numbers and still be miserable), but I find Ak rants pretty funny. Like it reminds me of a wrestling character. I also don’t blame Ak for this bc Meek was going hard at him.
It’s just two equally immature guys having a spat.
How you even argue going from 200k to 80k ain't bad?
Did people say 250k to 100k was bad? That's a 150k drop.
200k to 90k (learn how to round) is a 110k drop.
I ain't see people throwing a fit with the drop from Dreams Worth More Than Money to Wins & Losses despite it being a much more significant drop off between two years. People wanna start talking about the drop from Championships to Expensive Pain when the drop off between three years is noticeably less in comparison.
What's the problem here exactly?

selling 80k isn’t bad it’s just bad for meek and specifically for the reasons you even stated: he miscalculated who he was.

Ak was saying meek be talking like he the head coach or star player meanwhile he just a 6th man
