Are you trying to insinuate that Drake needs Akademiks to promote his music? this is how all of you were convinced Drake's camp sent him this artwork only for it be revealed that Akademiks just posted someone else's work to act like he got directions from Drake's people to do anything.

Akademiks saying the new album will sound like Nothing Was the Same doesn't mean s*** until we actually hear the album. Changes get made to albums everyday. Drake also hinted at all those things in the Rap Radar interview so it isn't rocket science.

Akademiks is a clout chaser. He's even admitted it himself and while he might not lie outright about certain things, he definitely overplays his proximity to people and information like a lot of people in media do.

Also, about new music coming soon and Akademiks acting like it's some massive exclusive, I don't think any of us would be surprised if Drake drops a single in the next couple of weeks because he's said he plans on dropping an album this summer and he has to release a single at some point. There's also the song with Khaled that we know is on the way.

No, he wouldn't. It's not like Akademiks' post went viral. It didn't. Many people don't know about that artwork. It's only got discussed here.

Maybe Drake did tell him he would be dropping music soon. That's believable. But it never made sense that Drake sent him that artwork to post which is what Akademiks was trying to insinuate with posting that artwork and it's why this thread was made in the first place.
