For the last time, listen close. When Drake sent the FEATURE verse to Meek and when the song RICO first came out, there was zero indication of Quentin Miller being a contributor on the song. I have the physical copy and his name isn’t in the linear notes. Therefore there was no acknowledgment that Drake had help writing the verse. That’s exactly what a ghostwriter is.

Genius and Wikipedia edited the credits to include Quentin Miller. He still isn’t credited on Spotify for the song.

How credits work from a feature standpoint, is that you give the lead artist a list of individuals that need to be credited. Drake obviously left out Quentin miller because it was a feature and he couldn’t hide behind the anonymity of him blending into to a long list of writers/producers and contributors.

sticky this in the Drake section

While none of this is wrong,

Why would he credit QM on like 5, 6 songs of IYRT and shout him out in the album thank you’s

And not credit him on Rico?

    Genuinely asking

You don't have to have them in the liner notes but atp ktt love dead horse topics

actually has nothing to do with this

Meek was in a great place post jail with Championships. 3 yrs after the drake beef he had a great album, grammy nominated, and it sold really well.

after that he really just never captured the culture in the same way or did anything super interesting outside of his funny bad social media posts.

  • meek couldn't pivot and doesn't know how to use the internet

can't blame drake for that one sorry

Wow you’re aggressive AND missing chromosomes lmao

He was always credited on IYRT & it’s MEEKS TEAMS responsibility for getting the credits straight for a song on MEEKS album.

Please go find your missing brain cells.

Listen close. He was credited on every song he worked on on IYRTITL.

Meek Mill called him out after he found out he didn’t write the RICO verse. Drakes own project is a moot point because you can easily say he only added a word to a hook in the background and he would get credit.

With a feature of just your vocals, you don’t have that excuse.

    Complex article from 08/03/2015

He was never credited. Lol. So they think complex is lying too?

What’s the reason for him leaving QM off the credits of Rico when he put him all over the credits of the album?

So he hid that QM helped him on 16 bars but openly credited him for the album? That doesn’t make much sense. He hid that he had help on a 16 but didn’t hide it when it came to his own project? What?

Could have been something as simple as some error with submission or some s***

Also, from experience how credits get handled varies from team to team but typically the artists themselves have very little to do with that.
