Didn't watch his whole video, but my take is that for Kanye this performance is a chance to show the world that he still can perform, he still got hits, to prove that he can rehearse 16 or so songs almost to perfection.
Drake doesn't really need to do the same, after all he is just a special guest at this Kanye West show. If he tried to do a hits battle that would be a little bitter, he just used it as a chance to perform, to come to peace with Kanye, that was humble and beautiful.
