    J cole is half white but u think ppl woulda thought kendrick saying "j cole cant say the n word" was hot? At the end of the day kendricks strategy worked because drake acts white. And the problem here is how black people have been pursuaded to view ourselves, we look down on those who dont follow the stereotypes reinforced by rich white executives. Thats why i think kendricks diss was corny.

    i think kendricks drake "ur white" critique was way deeper than drake not fitting stereotypes, i think his critique was p clear in how he thought drake playing into those stereotypes perpetuated by music execs was corny

    im not sure it as deep as they are presenting it, but I personally think race did matter in this beef, at least partially.

    end of the day, good music wins, but I think race made it easier for people to pick sides personally

    To be fair, idk ANY rapper who’s responding well to that record. Especially when you’re Drake and the pedo thing has been a stench that’s kinda followed you for a few years. Your automatic instinct would be to defend yourself which will obviously not sound good on a song ie: The Heart Part 6
