You could say that about a bunch of artists that no one would even think of giving a super bowl performance to. Number aren’t that impressive in this era. Super bowl is for seasoned vets with years of massive hits that are ingrained into American culture bro. She isn’t there yet.

The last Super Bowl halftime show without any guests was The Weeknd and that was during COVID, other than that I cannot think of one in recent memory without any guests

A lot of times as fans of hip hop we tend to live in a bubble when it comes to popular music. Kendrick as a headliner was already lowkey pushing it, he’s a surprise guest at most tbh and even then a lot of people wouldn’t be able to spot him immediately if it wasn’t for the beef last year.
