Anime would never work in the western world without dragon ball, probably the most impactful anime ever. The next generation’s Big 3, all owe their livelihoods to DB, esp Naruto

Not my favorite mangaka as time has progressed but imma always have respect for DB.

I think they dropped the ball on the ending like a mfer, but the next arc is a direct continuation of s*** that’s set up in that arc. And 80% of it was good s***. It could’ve been the best Dragon Ball arc in a while if you retcon the last 8 chapters

i really want to know how much freedom Toriyama is giving Toro... seems like a lot. Especially with all the references to previous arcs littered through out the Moro arc.

Boruto’s manga is worlds better than Super’s right now, only time will tell if the anime can eclipse the Goku Black arc (which had a f***ing terrible ending) or some of the good moments from the U6 arc + movies

The entire arc seemed like a call back, esp the closer you got to the end. Involving you know who to save the day definitely makes it seem like Akira is asking Toyotaro to fit within the original “Z” narrative

Played Dragon Quest XI and I was like hey this dude looks like XY from DBZ all the time

For example, the king looks like Dr Gero
And the main protagonist is just Trunks

the thing I hated was Goku getting mad then calm to turn into UI and the call back to Krillin dying at the hands of Frieza to get him to turn into SSJ.

It was kind of wack especially since we had an entire series that showed Krillins and Gokus friendship grow, whereas we had a couple panels flashbacking to Goku just talking to Merus.

He influenced most of our fav anime and manga artists.

He's like the Big Daddy Kane of his industry.
