Black people should be able to go to college 100% for free for the next 100 years

    There’s a start on reparations

highly doubt anything will change in america for the next 50 years, unless one of these protests offsets an early race war

The last thing we need in this country is a civil war

Descendants of American slavery or Black immigrants included?

Before yall destroy Akon though I must say, I can’t fault him for feeling like this. Being an immigrant it took me a long time to understand how slavery still affects people to this day.

I don’t think he meant malice.

This what I have a problem with. He’s a immigrant that came here and ate off the backs of all the African Americans that struggled. If they didn’t struggle there is no Akon, there is no lane for him to produce music. You aware of the black culture to make a profit but when comes times to the struggles you don’t understand.

Look at this buffoon telling us we should move past something that’s clearly still effecting our day to day life in 2020. That’s easy to say when you’re rich living in a bubble. We can’t move past slavery until we’re properly compensated and the people in power stop being racist.

I knew something wasn’t right about this dude when he ran to do a song with that lace front wearing rain bow haired pedophile.

Any black American who has ancestors that were here in the 60s or before imo

  • Aug 11, 2020

Okay, but there was an entire era afterwards right? One where groups of angry white men could lynch a black man and laugh about it over tomorrow's dinner consequence free? Suck a d***.

Why is Akon positioning himself as the spokesperson for how all Senegalese/Africans feel? Also,is he aware that the systems we have in place right now are a byproduct of slavery?

    No money for me 😞

  • Aug 11, 2020

Actually I take back what I said.

Black Americans should be paid $200 a week to go to college available for 50 years

Then I’ll call it even. Not even remotely kidding either. People who don’t believe in reparations are complicit in the countries history of systemic racism and slavery

As a west african I understand his mindset

We have this forward looking, independent outlook but like senegal is still one of the poorest countries in the world, not all, but partly contributed to colonialism

There are many successful african americans. In fact most african americans are doing well but again the effects of these injustices still reverberate whether u want to be positive or not

Personal action doesnt trump systematic infrastructure 100% of the time

The discrimination and institutionalized racism that African Americans compare does not compare to any other country's. Especially have a significantly more black population than anywhere else
