What honestly ended him was his incessant desire to make slaps and hits that were pure low hanging fruit, when he could have channeled his talent for more long standing, iconic R&B. It's like he wanted / wants to be a rapper hybrid, and that lack of an identity kind of nuked him.
He's turned into Ty$ who's great in his own right, but that's well short of Michael Jackson.

There's no denying his talent for me, and I think he makes great music, but he has too much filler for someone with as much of a signature voice & as much creativity he has. Imagine how much more love a song like UTI gets if Indigo (fire album btw) was at least 15-20 tracks. The quality control is needed.

I also fail to understand the Beyoncé slander. She's definitely one of the best artists/performers of this generation. This thread being too technical like she a damn machine or some s*** lol. She puts all the pieces together like a lot of artists fail to do and makes everything work for her. It's hard for me to hate on that

haven’t heard of breezy having an engineer/producer or mentor who was making sure his music was at its highest potential. instead he went on to make 45 song albums that sound wayy too generic from vocals,melodies to production

Really good live singer but again her stage presence is so overrated and so heavily built upon her status instead of her actual performative abilities. Breezy can command an entire award show of celebs even when everyone hates him. Bey just stands and looks out and people cream their pants cuz pitchfork overrates her mediocre ass music.

R. Kelly was beating cases though. Chris Brown owned up to beating a woman, and his career was definitely effected by it.
