Now where did I say that.
The moment he fired off the gunshot he set the tone from that moment forward.

His actions have an equal reaction, simple as that.

If he fled without shooting a shot they would have approached the situation differently.

People need to take accountability for their actions, simple as.

Their reaction was 90 shots bruh, so wtf you saying

Maybe he should’ve been a mass shooter
Pigs always follow procedures for them

I agree that mass shooters should be smoked on the spot regardless if they surrender or not but that's a different discussion

Never take tweet at face value.

Lead cops on high speed chase for traffic infraction

He was armed and fired two shots at officers.
He bailed from the car surrounded by like 12 cops wearing a ski mask

Taper deployments were unsuccessful. He quickly turned to face the officers when he was shot.

Yes the gun was left in the car but the situation was happening so fast there's literally no way they could have known so.

He was rightfully presumed armed and dangerous imo.

Is this the truth? Op should change his title if so

    Innocent

Bro really think 10 firing squads worth of bullets was justified

i dont think anyone thinks abt it in these kinda terms. the cops weren't making conscious plans while chasing him like "ok once we catch him we will shoot him an insane number of times because that is What He Deserves"

they continued chasing him after he shot at them and prolly added more units or smthn cus the stakes were raised, bc he shot out his car while he was bein chased by the cops

he flees on foot n they ain't shootin yet, plus at least 1 guy tried to use a taser n it didnt work. bros running n then he whips around to face the cops, cops shoot. they don't shoot bc this is What He Deserves, they shoot bc they still believe he's got a gun and he just went from running away to facing them. so in their minds, either he's dead or one/some of them are. when you got 6-8 guys shooting, #s go up quickly

Nope more like he's looking at them in a firing stance and they're thinking "oh s*** he might be trying to kill me/my partner"

    And they all react accordingly.

Cops don't want to kill people, contrary to the popular belief or ktt.

What needs to be changed in the title...? It is literally footage from the police of an unarmed person getting shot 90 times. There is nothing inaccurate or false in the title or in the tweet OP posted. The police reported he was unarmed when they decided to "check his pulse" to see if he was still alive after shooting him 90 f***in times

You're acting obtuse. In that situation they're chasing someone believed to be armed and dangerous.

Adrenaline is already pumping and the situation is fast and chaotic.

They're all running on pure instinct and reaction at this point.

Meanwhile, we're sitting behind our screens totally cool calm and collected.

We don't feel what they feel, but we can understand the general context.

Man shoots gun, presumed armed and dangerous, preserve your life and that of other's if need be

i think the prob is just that the framing is seedy as hell. cus it'll make you believe that since the guy was unarmed during that 20 second time span from when he ran out his car to when he was shot, he was simply unarmed in general and the police had knowledge of that. neither of those ideas are true, and both of those things are worth clarifying because they change the interpretation of the situation entirely

Recovered gun in car, brass recovered on highway.

If dude shoots gun, and then bails you have good reason to assume they're armed and dangerous in such a rapid and erratic situation.

"Why did he flee if he was innocent!? Why did he have a gun on him!?"

Ohio is an open carry permit-less state. You can keep your gun on the dashboard of your ride pretty much. So bro having a gun on him really doesn't even matter The bigger question is how the f*** does a simple stop for a traffic infraction, something like speeding or failing to signal, lead to a high speed chase that required 8-10 squad cars? At no point did the officers think "We got his license, and plate numbers/tags, if he drives off we just gonna get his address and issue a warrant for his arrest". This is the kinda s*** people are getting upset about itt the f***ing excessiveness of the whole thing.

Don't try to come up in here and justify that s*** on some "They were just going off instinct and adrenaline!" Bruh it takes a whole focused and concentrated effort to call up other police officers and chase a nigga down for a f***ing traffic infraction. That s*** technically ain't even a crime. How does that lead to a full on f***in chase ending in someone getting shot at 90 times!?

Most police shootings captured, like probably over 90% are justified.

Bodycams show majority are justified while a few are blatantly wrong.

This is NOT the case you should be defending lol.

Dude made that situation omega f***ed ALL ON HIS OWN ACCORD

if it was a cordial traffic stop or just him being argumentative during a routine stop it would be different.

This was as far away from a routine stop as you could get

And I get it, cops should be held accountable for their f*** ups, they get off too easy, I'm not arguing that.

it normally wouldn't result in whatever happened in akron but also what u wrote is not what happened in akron. the guy shot his gun while he was bein chased, which changes the whole situation. i don't see how that's controversial

The fact he fired the weapon changes the entire dynamic of the situation.

It goes from fleeing dukes of hazards bozo
To someone who is presumably armed and dangerous...
