When I tried out the resident evil remakes I thought the gameplay was sluggish and stiff
This felt similar but more tolerable idk
They’re not bullet sponges here atleast
the gameplay is supposed to be sluggish at first you get used to it tho

don’t really understand the bullet sponge comment: they’re survival horror games. it takes a while

It's just an observation though, I hated that type combat it's very stiff

I usually subscribe to the idea that a headshot is usually just that
One shot direct, that's why I wasn't f***ing with it

But thats personal to me bro how you gonna change my opinion to it
I don't like it
Plus I realized your username is literally survival horror
I don't argue over s*** like this, it's just games
Been really taking my time with this and treating it like a real slow burn
I’m about 15 hours in and I don’t feel like I’m anywhere close to finishing
It’s a classic for sure though
can’t wait to play through this again
gonna wait for the new nightmare mode that adds new pages
Just finished Return 5: Old Gods and am about to wrap up Initiation 5: Room 665.
How far am I percentage wise?
i really wish the game looked better on ps5. downgrade in visuals is a little steep comparatively to pc.
can someone explain path tracing to me and why the playstation can’t do it?

not trying to change your opinion or argue, im just trying to illustrate that some of the stuff you’re pointing out is inherent to the genre

55-60% in terms of the main story

Basically a lighting method that looks insanely realistic, only top end hardware can run it and usually only with dlss if you want playable framerates
Man, I wish I could play this on PC max settings.
it’s a wonderful experience

Obviously it's going to look better on pc, but you'll have to be on a +2k system to see a substantial difference in fidelity.
The game still looks jawdropping on ps5. Some areas in this game are the closest things we've seen to photo realism in gaming imo, it's insane.

Yeah for a system that only costs 400-500 it’s insane how good it looks, no pc at that price point could even come close

I can see the difference and it looks better, but I rather have the ps5 experience and 1.5 k in my pocket than some ray traced shadows.

Yeah it’s really cool to have those features on pc for hobbyists/enthusiasts but it’s nice that consoles still get a pretty decent experience for quite a bit less money
I stayed and watched the whole thing while eating dinner lol, I hope they release it as a youtube video or something at some point
