lol any time my phone die in Chicago I am like "oh no " and I live here
Is none of the New York Game Awards filmed or something? I saw Gene posting there but like no footage
Just saw this, there’s probably a full video out there somewhere
Not even gonna lie this game is crazy eerie knowing it's James' last role. Like. Super eerie imo. I've been a capital s Stan of Max Payne since birth, it's really surreal in a whole nother way
The f***ing jumpscares in this...
They get me every time.
10/10 horror/thriller experience tbh
Not gonna front, why did remedy act like Alan wake 1/American nightmare and control/the Alan wake dlc weren't necessary to play this? There's a callback or a reference every second, and the plot kinda hinges on you knowing exactly what came before. Just weird that they even suggested that, a lot of stuff in this game must seem like fluff to some people
Only 1 million people have experienced peak
this should’ve been on steam and physical copies in stores, one of the best games of all time smh, it deserved a huge launch

Really need to set down Helldivers 2 for a bit to get back into this, I loved it for the first like 30 minutes I played weeks ago then haven’t touched it since just cuz my brain is weird about when it feels like focusing on something. But boy, I remember the incredible impression made out the gate with that man’s CHEEKS

While I’m genuinely rooting for ya that it does come to steam eventually, I personally will be extremely surprised if it ever does, epic games is the publisher of the game itself and they want to pull as many as they can to their launcher.
I do totally despise having to use multiple launchers as a whole for sure though.

Ah fair enough, you clearly know more about it than I do, I didn’t realize they historically did release them on steam eventually, I was frankly just talking outta my ass based on nothing but assumptions, cheers, good sir
I tried really hard to like this game. Everybody keeps saying it's an artsy A24 type narrative, but the mind palace mechanic is just awful and tedious. One of the worst video game mechanics I've ever seen. I can't keep playing

There’s really only a few times where you’re forced to use it to progress. Most of them are just loaded towards the front of the game. They’re pretty easy if you just think about it for a minute, usually the most obvious solution is the correct one.

My problem is they are too easy and just feel tedious. I wish there was either actually a puzzle to solve or it was optional just in case I forgot a detail or something. I'm about 2 hours in and I feel like it's just too much hand holding through the plot

It’s up to you but I’d say keep pushing through, once you get past the first Alan section you’re pretty much done doing the forced mind place tutorials and you only have to use it for scene switching and completion stuff. It’s a great game and I think it’d be a shame to miss out on it because the beginning is so tutorial heavy.
