the weeknd is really the best artist now for sure
And your circle shrinkin', see some boys escapin'
Rest of them is guilty by association
Obviously focusing the direction more to Drake specifically given the context but when he said “not too many parallels left in our lives” I think he’s being candid that his music really can’t resonate with us like it used to because he’s already made it to where he wanted to be. Moments from SFG, TML, TC, NWTS we saw a guy trying to make it and that’s something a lot of people can relate to
Yeah but I think Drake doesn't really care he makes cool music that everyone can vibe with and it sells. I don't expect him to drop a NWTS or TC at this point.

detached how?
Lol he is rich and living a different life than his listeners in every way from live life to day to day . With no reason to humble himself
Top 3 songs on it?

tyler made an album about evading taxes and buying a boat and people loved it. what do you figure the difference is? the approach?
He could make music that continues to advance and resonate with us but he chooses not to and is detached
I mean I think his music still resonates with people which is why a lot of people enjoy it. It’s more difficult to talk about the plights of someone trying to make it when you already have though. He gives a lot of reflections on getting to that point and the challenges and burdens that he lives with but it’s obviously from a different perspective. Idk I feel you but I think it’s a lot easier said than done when you get to that point

Pipe Down is incredible. I said it many times but that beat just rides so smooth
Production 10/10

You wyling if you actually believe this . I’m not going to drag it out because this the drake thread

Uhhh I mean his gripes lyrically are the same as beginning of his career . This wasn’t a masterclass in story telling yet if you watch his interviews or all story written about him a lot has happened
After hours is his worst album..
What makes AH worse to you than Starboy or BBTM?
I feel like this opinion is pretty popular among people who like hit-filled albums rather than one full listening experience
Like personally I can play SB or BBTM on shuffle and get the same enjoyment as I did straight Through, but def gotta play AH in order

I responded to @ShintaroKago for my general response but I can agree to an extent. To me music is a two way street the music can be great but it’s also how the consumer receives it as well. Like just for an example a lot of people talk about how important Blonde is to them but to me it’s just a cool album. It differs from person to person which I think is lost in discussion about music
