I responded to @ShintaroKago for my general response but I can agree to an extent. To me music is a two way street the music can be great but it’s also how the consumer receives it as well. Like just for an example a lot of people talk about how important Blonde is to them but to me it’s just a cool album. It differs from person to person which I think is lost in discussion about music

Uhhh I mean his gripes lyrically are the same as beginning of his career . This wasn’t a masterclass in story telling yet if you watch his interviews or all story written about him a lot has happened

I’ve been pondering this for awhile after some discussions with friends but I think as I get older it’s harder to truly connect to music like I did when I was younger. I think that’s why TC and NWTS will always be at the top of my list because I was able to make SO many memories to that music while I was going out more, had less responsibilities etc. This isn’t even unique to Drake though and I notice a lot of people have the same kind of sentiment. I think that’s why a lot of our parents and stuff talk about music not being as good or not hitting the same. I’m really starting to get to the point where I’ve had my defining era and although there will always be drops I enjoy it’s hard to find something that will really shift my life like that

I think this is a fair assessment. A fully transparent Drake album would be something that would be interesting for sure

Yeah and I don't think every artist has to do a deep album or anything like that - either you fw the music or not but music that relates to you on a personal level is always gonna be the truth I think but don't get me wrong this doesn't mean that I want rappers to rap about how bad the lockdown was or some s*** like that
