Madonna is such a well produced and unique song.
amazing production
40 a tyrant
he flexin in the gym on ig i guess his knee's all better but not good enough to drop an album
I made a thread a while ago about Drake needing to do something experimental, this feature is the type of thing I was talking about. This still pure Drizzy, just finding new pockets and a melody I’ve never heard from him around 1:05
That’s enough improvement and showing of effort that I need
Wonder what artists he might cook with in LA. Wouldn’t mind Brent Faiyaz vocals and something left field like an Earl verse
Anybody else realizing his songs are getting way too formulaic ? I was super excited for this album but now I don’t really mind if it drops or delays or doesn’t drop at all
I feel like Drake’s mastered his craft & done everything so well to the point where his new stuff isn’t exciting anymore because you already know what to expect
The lil ep he released were duds too, besides the Lemon Wings ones
Idk I feel like drake is in a very dangerous position, he has to rejuvenate his sound & bring something extraordinary to the table to extend his reign for this decade

What do you mean by formulaic? Even on DLDT he dabbled in the new sounds e.g. Pain 1993, War, Demons. He tries new offbeat flows like on Only You, Wants and Needs. Ironically, Lemon Pepper Freestyle you mentioned as the best song is his most formulaic out of Scary Hours.
Also what do you mean by rejuvenating the sound and bringing something extraordinary because it all sounds really vague imo? He won't release his Yeezus if that's what you mean cause he obviously cares about pop radio. He tries to expand his sound constantly so I don't think being too formulaic is the case here, do you like it or not is a whole different story.
Not attacking you or anything, just curious about your opinion.

All that stuff is pretty predictable and basic lol
Lemon Pepper is very formulaic but i like it personally maybe because of the atmosphere & sample but as far as lyrics go & so structure it’s the same content we’ve been getting for a decade lol
I don’t mean he should got the Yeezus route but he needs to experiment with more genres & give us more left field songs like Child’s Play, Vital, Feel no Ways & HOWGH
His rap songs have become very stale & easy to expect
I feel like Drake is at a very detrimental point in his career where he could dominate the next 10 years or just become a legacy act where people only check for his music because of his name

Oh ok I get you, we gon see soon when he finally drops it. Remember features more often than not arent the reflection of the album.
He’s recording in LA
