Drake announced a summer release for the album on the last day of April, pretty much the height of quarantine. Why would anyone expect a delay? August (or early September) always made sense in order to give DLDT some time to breathe and to allow for an official lead single in July, and there's no reason to think that's not still the plan. I don’t think he’d do a surprise drop. With albums he clearly likes to put out a handful of songs before and let that set the anticipation and also decide if he might need to scrap some (Diplomatic, Summer Sixteen, etc).

Summer legit started less than a week ago.. lol. Still plenty of time for a single to drop before the album.
