You really excited to hear Hov all over this bro?? 🥴🥴

I didn't want it to be a collab album but if he's just on like half of the tracks I'll gladly take it. Still means there's enough room for introspective s***.

How much tracks solo would suffice?

Imagine Hov ruining Better In Tune. The thing with Jay Elect is he doesn’t always need multiple verses either.

I’m trying to imagine a flow he could do that would fit and not sound horrible and i can’t imagine anything. I’m actually getting less confident in Hov’s ability to even match Jay on these tracks now. 4:44 only worked cus of the space and sound NO ID created for him

If we get 6-7 solo tracks I'll die a happy man but more realistically I expect 4-5.

I’m tight about this HOV s*** mehn. This is kind of an indictment on Elect, especially if it’s good and not great because of HOv.

And it was also by himself. I love Hov and think he is the goat. But lyrically it’s day and night. Especially when it comes to substance and poetics. Elect balances knowledge and poetry in a beautiful way. Hov is knowledgeable but not about humanity as it stands in a spiritual, universal space.

100%. Hov is a total materialist capitalist. Jay Elect was rapping about DMT and talking NOI ideology right out the gate. They’ve never been close to me and especially now looking back, my favorite Hov song is probably Smile and those verses don’t even touch how most of Jay’s verses make me feel. Perspective is everything

Maybe Hov's presence actually pushes him to go harder. I'm sure that they had a certain vision for those tracks.

Anyone here seen him live recently? Saw him in philly february 2018 and is easily one of my favorite shows i’ve ever been to. He is unbelievable live and his audience interaction, both going in the crowd and on stage was like i’ve never seen

I've been good, just working pretty much lol. My co-worker told me he heard the Jay news on the radio when he drove in to work that day, I didn't believe him until I looked it up. Crazy.

Lmaoo my friend texted me the tweets as they was coming out that s*** was nuts. I got to meet Jay last year when he came down to my city, dude was super down to earth and cool. Took every ounce of my soul not to ask him about the album haha

"Well, it’s been brought to our attention that the album will have Jigga featured on multiple tracks (more than 7). The only thing holding it up from being called a complete collaborative project, is that Jay’s not on every track. While it’s not being presented as a joint-album, this is the closest thing to Watch the Throne 2 we may get from both Jays."

There’s an amazing version that puts his verse together with Kendrick’s freestyle. Makes it a full and amazing song.

My version is that but with the outro beat that just blaze released

Update? Has he come clean yet or is this still on?

  • If you follow jay elect on Instagram, he’s been posting videos the past year or so of speeches over scores. So far the speeches have included a couple from farrakhan, serge gainsbourg (who was listed in original act 2 track list), Bruce lee, some military guy idk who, and I want to say one elijah Muhammad speech as well. I wonder if these are snippets for the album. I also wonder if he’s been collecting the beats and speeches to write to over the past couple of years as well.
