That’s why, even though I have streaming, I still download and use iTunes with my Apple Music app on my iPhone to listen to music

Look how many new albums coming out tonight and I just revisited the roots discogprahy and I now I have to kinda stop until middle.of next week.

Tbf you don’t “have” to do anything

I think a part of the reason why people are getting so fatigued from music is because it’s become an obligation rather than something they love

Was it better when people had to buy every single song they wanted to listen?

    Honestly yeah

Music wasn’t as easy to obtain but artists had higher budgets, less deadlines, higher quality standards to uphold and more creative freedom

Not having to spend money on music means there’s more room for bullshit to come out, since the consumer nor artist have to take a risk in acquiring or releasing music, for Better or worse

Streaming income is also insignificant so taking the easy way out is encouraged as well

So only few people should have access to all music

the majority should just keep listening to whatever is popular on radio

Albums with hits end up staying around, like Sour for example, or After Hours.

That’s not exactly how it ever worked

More niche artists get a higher budget and time to release better music, and the people who actually care about music WILL find it
