MOTM3 sounding like a gay Travis Scott album when Travis Scott already sounded like Cudi’s son

  • Cruel Summer aging like fine wine.

Definitely the first album that didnt feel as polished and “Kanye-esque” as the others (and signaled his direction since then) which ironically in retrospect makes it the last real “Kanye” album

The real issue is that Yeezus's last minute finishing process negatively impacted everything he released since

Managing to pull it off when the album was nowhere close to release ready ~2 weeks prior to release led to him thinking he could do the last minute rush for every single album after that one

    Such a worthless album

  • Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart wrote some of the greatest concertos in the classical repertoire, but not every concerto he composed reaches the extraordinary standard of his mature works. If one had to choose his weakest, Piano Concerto No. 5 in D major, K. 175 would be a defensible candidate.

The concerto was written in 1773, when Mozart was only seventeen years old. It already demonstrates his remarkable command of melody, orchestration, and keyboard writing, but it also reveals the limitations of his youth. Compared with the mature piano concertos he would write more than a decade later, K. 175 can feel relatively conventional. Its formal structures are straightforward, and its emotional contrasts are less dramatic than those found in works such as the Piano Concerto No. 20 in D minor or No. 23 in A major.

The first movement is energetic and technically impressive, but its brilliance can sometimes feel more like the work of a gifted young composer showing what he can do than the deeply personal musical expression of Mozart's maturity. The slow movement is graceful and attractive, yet it lacks the extraordinary emotional ambiguity that characterizes some of his later concertos. Even the finale, while lively and entertaining, does not possess the same sense of invention and dramatic development found in his greatest works.

Calling K. 175 Mozart's “worst” concerto would therefore be somewhat unfair. It is still an exceptionally accomplished piece for a teenager. The problem is not that the concerto is bad; rather, Mozart's best works set an almost impossibly high standard. When compared with the masterpieces he would produce later in Vienna, K. 175 sounds more like a promising beginning than a definitive achievement.

In that sense, Mozart's “worst” concerto is still remarkably good. Its shortcomings are most apparent precisely because they belong to a composer who would eventually transform the concerto into one of the most sophisticated forms of musical expression in the Classical era.

  • luckily never had that experience with an album but good luck

in today's era, what does it really even mean to say an album 'came and went'? You just stopped bumping it?

especially for someone like Rocky, who really isn't chasing hits, what is the metric?

the man just went on an arena tour in the US that was mostly sold out, and is about to hit Europe.

The metric is whether the album was good which it wasn’t. 3-4 listen classic

Just going off how i felt in real time when it dropped. Thats the divide between where he was going from Graduation to WTT and everything since 2013

out his own mouth he said he started with a song like On Sight instead of BOTL and not continuing the trajectory of those prior albums because mark zuckerberg or whoever he wanted attention and funding from ignored him about his aspirations beyond music and he was tired of fitting into the “box of rapper” or something to that logic

I know a lot of y’all on here have a hard on for A$AP €o¢ky but this album was the definition of came and went. Can’t even name like more than two songs off of it off top. Such a disappointment, especially after testing and how well that aged. Bro lost it
