Honestly I feel like he had his cake and ate it too with After Hours, where he created a cohesive artistic statement in which his two main songwriting urges (pop and alt. r&b) were fused seamlessly
I feel like most fans old and new were satisfied with this record
I honestly thought starboy was great. After hours was good too. I didn't really like nbtm but I feel like he has gotten his new sound down. I think he's completely shifted lanes and there's nothing wrong with that imo. He's great at what he does now.
