black radio series by glasper is now consistently up there for me, for only getting into it relatively recently and knowing glasper for a while
Yeah, it's got 60s girl group power pop energy like the Ramones, it's as polished as a Bee Gees or Prince record but its still kinda janky like the first three Talking Heads albums
I feel like I listened to Summrs and Autumn all my life and found out about Yeat at 30
Two albums I didn’t hear until after high school that I know I would have loved in high school
jay-z discography pre kingdom come, i had a lot of fun going through those albums and rediscovering songs i've heard on the radio or seen music videos for as a kid. currently my favorite albums to listen to these days
it took like 4 years for Take Care to click for me.
I also hated DAMN when it first dropped now its my favorite kendrick album
Rihanna one of my GOATs, but for whatever reason it took that whole year for ANTI to click with me. But once it did, it's one of my fav albums of that decade.

my brother played the infamous for me when I was like 9/10 and I remember telling him to turn that s*** off lmaooo
played it myself randomly at 17 and the start of your ending had me like now it’s in my top 10 lol
Definitely VIEWS,Black On Both Sides and Supreme Clientele tbh. My music taste had to mature to really appreciate the last two
took me exactly a year to appreciate Yeezus for the masterpiece it is . woke up one day in summer ‘14 after Bron left my Heat to Hold my Liquor and that’s been an all time fav album to me since
I didn't f*** with Cilvia Demo until Sun's Tirade came out (not sure why I was anti-Zay in 2014, now he's one of my favorite artists)
I didn't f*** with Die For My B**** until right before The Melodic Blue came out (one of my corniest friends was big into Keem in 2019 so I kind of avoided it on that basis)
Didn't ever listen to Sign O' The Times (album) Prince all the way through until the last few weeks, blown away by it
There are artists I was entirely late on too, but I think that's a slightly different question, or rather, I can't single out one particular album that I was late on as with these examples
