the thing is that yeah, let’s learn from this and actually try or try harder to give better poc representation through the animated characters reflecting their actual lives but like everyone here is saying is that this does basically nothing but pander and ask for forgiveness for s*** that is so minuscule that it shouldn’t even really even be given that much more thought further then to do better in the future.

Of course the industry needs to make efforts to put POC in more VA roles if they can do the job as good as a white VA can but the more I think about it it’s slick more racist to do what these folks are trying to do and have only black/asian/Mexican etc. people play roles for those type of characters just because they are of that race. I’d rather get work because I’m an awesome voice actor than simply due to my race but at least have the options and roles available for POC to fill in. Not because the characters are the same race as them but because you want POC to be a part of your product.

Edit: at the very least do what people have been saying for years and add POC writers to the team
