I’m gonna pretend to know what teraflops mean (no one does)
Docked - GTX 570
Handheld - Radeon HD 4890
so its worse than a 5 year old lower end console

it’s a handheld, if it had the power of a series x it would burn through your hands and battery would last 30 minutes
also that’s the whole point of dlss, especially in docked mode (likely 4k), the neural network does the heavy lifting so you can use a weaker gpu
wtf do you even play lmao
As far as Nintendo goes the N64 and Gamecube had an incredible lineup and the Switch has a good lineup too.
Just the Wii and WiiU had bad lineups overall.
Some examples:
-Mario 64, Mario Sunshine, Mario Galaxy
-Most pokemon games
-Smash Melee and Smash Ultimate
-Luigi's Mansion 1 and 3
-Tony Hawk games on N64 and Gamecube
-Sonic Adventure 2, Sonic Hereos
-Legend of Zelda; LInk's Awakening, Ocarina of Time, Windwaker
-Metroid Prime 1 and 2
-All Mario Kart's except Mario Kart 7
-Super Monkey Ball 1 + 2, Super Monkey Ball Adventure
-Xenoblade Chronicles 2 + 3
-Golf Story
ect, ect
A lot of the wii had good franchises with bad entires. Motion controls did not help either.
Also anything that was multiplat on the Wii was better on my Ps3- like Guitar Hero and Rock Band

im talking about docked mode?
im talking about docked mode?
I wasn’t drawing a distinction between the TFs in handheld vs docked mode, im saying they have to build the console as a handheld so you can’t have a series X gpu, you need something more like S.
And thanks to dlss, handhelds can achieve even more now, it could surpass the S in side by side a***ysis with dlss enabled

ok cool that makes sense. didn't know they were using ai upscaling

Feels weird to me to put a lot of those up and straight up disrespect the entries on wii, especially the ones generally considered far better than the prior entries
You do you but s***ting on the Wii this hard is too much and seems like there something underlying here

From my limited understanding of specs (correct me if I’m way off):
Judging from this supposed teraflop leak, based solely on the teraflops it’s got PS4 levels of power in handheld mode, and in docked mode it’s got 3/4 the power of a PS4 Pro/Xbox Series S, so it gets close but not all the way - but then comes the addition of AI upscaling.
The rumored DLSS feature by Nvidia gets added on top of the teraflops which artificially brings it even closer to Series S/PS4 Pro when docked, even if perhaps not all the way.
This is a massive jump from the original Switch as it is. Even on that dusty thing they put out some incredible games, so it’ll be interesting to see what Switch 2 can push out.

Huge jump in power fr!
This image i came across lays it out pretty well, way stronger in handheld mode than Switch 1 in docked mode

Just imagine what Nintendo's first party studios are going to do with this. We got tears of the kingdom with switch 1, my mind cant comprehend what they can achieve with 9 times the computational power
And portable play wont be too noticeably worse now, we should be getting frequent 1080p games with ease

Pikmin 5 is going to look insane on this
