I'm working a grad job that I actually quite like - which is crazy considering how I'd often post about hating college and struggling to find something to do.

I'm earning good money, living at home saving a lot but I'm bored..

To put it all out there - I want to be rich, I want to get rich.
I'm just constantly itching for something to start - but I have no idea, nor have I ever had any idea what to start.
I've made money buying and selling cars, as well as clothes, but that's it.

I couldn't even drive for Uber or anything like that because I'm from the countryside.

Even just thinking of getting a part time cash in hand job for the weekend - construction or something.
I want to keep my 9-5, I see progression in it.
I also just want to make as much money as possible, I'm tired of constantly picking up hobbies and dropping them, or looking on Reddit only to find some half baked idiotic side hustle.
Just want to earn more, not looking for passive income because that s*** doesn't exist in my tax bracket.

My friends have been no help, recommending something that could get me locked up isn't very helpful.

What is your job

I'm a Supply Chain Coordinator/Analyst - I'm basically an Excel jockey doing up reports & forecasts.
Sounds boring but I actually enjoy it. I get to deal with all aspects of the Business, I get to understand high level decision making and we solve problems.

I mean I was less than 3 months in and I was sitting in on a >10 person meeting with a C Suite exec of a company with up on 10k employees.

Wanting to start a buisness just for money or a faux dream of instant rich is your issue lol.

You dont how to start your buisness because you have no idea what buisness you want to start.

All you want is the end product of a business before you even get to the racing line.

Figure out something thats actually interesting for potential customers or something youre actually personally passionate about for a buisness is a start & will probably help with that block.

Overall tho right now youre thinking with your d***. Never a good thing.

I appreciate you're trying to help but you're making connections that aren't even there.

Not every business is a passion project.
I know a guy who made millions from a slaughterhouse - I hope that wasn't his passion.
Passion projects have a tendency to fail - that's where you think with your d*** and not your head.

The business has to be viable first - full stop.

Most successful businesses aren't started by 20 somethings with less than 10k in the bank, no real industry insight(s) or hard skills - aka programming, construction trade.

Most successful businesses are started later in life, 30s and up, by guys with money, industry connections, insights & hard skills.

So I realise that's a pipe dream, but still my dream.
I'm willing to just work on the weekends to get my funds up in the mean time.

It’s not a ‘this figure’ and out thought process for me.
Or more so I haven’t thought of that yet, it’s a bit pointless before it becomes at all realistic, I mean if I say 5 million or 10 million - what difference does that make under these circumstances - I haven’t got s***!

Don’t rush, the more experience you gain in the workforce the more flaws you see in business
Those flaws can lead to innovation at least is what my experience has been

I’ve always been interested in Business.
Moneys always been a huge motivator.

I’ve always admired Ben Clymer - the guy who founded Hodinkee.
He’s currently what, 40? driving the vintage cars I want wearing the vintage watches I want.
But it’s not just about things.
It’s about the accomplishment and the competition.
Ultimately it’s a way of keeping score

Only caveat I would say is that Hodinkee was a passion project. So remember to at least enjoy what you do

Owning a business isn’t all rainbows like people act like. I mean look at most of the idiots who post in these threads. Those are the people who are your employees.

It’s a challenge every morning I wake up. To keep the day to day operating but also try to build for the long term to be sustainable.

It’s not an overnight thing, it’s not a get rich quick, it’s not a I make a million dollars and take advantage of all these employees.
