Emphasis on songs not albums necessarily (although i like the recent output) but songs like fair trade, a keeper, privilege rappers etc
Quite literally an artist in his prime which is wild
He’s mastered all the hip hop fundament and taking the melodic stuff further than ye, pharell, andre etc

He’s making great music still but it’s not near his prime stuff. At least for me

fair trade sucks man esp with travis bin laden from al qactus dropping another awful feature
Still haven't heard Her Loss but I'd take the best songs off CLB/HM over a lot of his 09-15 stuff
He’s not making music like his prime/what cemented him, but his ability to still put out quality, inspired music is impressive. I’m actually having a hard time thinking of hip hop artists with his sort of longevity outside of the obvious Kanye and Jay Z mentions.
Pipe down is prolly the only recent track he made that's touching his earlier peaks to me

Don't you rate Middle of the Ocean? They're almost identical to me, I wouldn't be surprised if they used the same sample
sticks & stones
chrome on chrome
that’s just what a nigga on
yes, the melodic genius drake that has transcended the greats such as pharrell, andre & kanye
f***ing bozo

I can see this tbh. Actually liked honestly nevermind.
To me his best attributes are making Melodie’s and song writing.
No, I don't think sonically (I know, I know), but also he's so disillusioned now that it's comparatively a chore to listen to against his first 5 or so years. Didn't really pay attention to the change around 2015-16 or even 2020 but now it's so glaringly obvious. Lyrically he's improved, sure, but I'd rather listen to Thank Me Later lol. Throw it in A Bag remix type s*** he sounds like a real person even if it's nowhere near as well done

Oh s*** I forgot I loved that song too but yea those 2 would def be the only songs I would stack up against his best.
Ironically listening to All of the lights . I think Drake just needs to push a little further when it comes pushing boundaries with songs the way he did during the Take Care and NWTS era. Production was so layered and outros felt more detailed

That was an alright song. I think Travis out did him and I don’t really like Travis

Yeah I hope the reception of her loss inspires him to do exactly that
