Yeah if she realized he was a superhero she should have some understanding of what he's going through, she dumb af for that
Yeah Amber's character is most likely not going to be liked no matter what, but I can understand that her needs come first to herself versus marks responsibilities
Amber really knew his identity then in the college episode was like “WHERE THE HELL WERE YOU!”
Most likely wanted to see what he said or even 100% sure he was until he dipped at that moment
All this dude mark had to say was that he was invincible from the start the secret identity s*** is so boring by this point.
Only works for a handful of characters

She kinda dumb tho for that

Yeah but they're young adults dealing with a superhero and normal person relationship. It was a disaster from the start

Kinda dangerous for him to do that willy nilly. He don't know amber like that either. They both can be right

I don’t know dude, this world seems to have normalized heroes and they get into big altercations on the daily.
With characters like Batman and Spider-Man there are larger consequences for them specifically if their secret identity is revealed
Doesn’t seem that way with this show

Yeah of course, but the world knows of superheroes. Doesn't mean it reduces the risk of villains aiming after your family

I mean i guess. Considering Mark’s circumstances, the only risk is his mother at the time 🤷🏻♂️ idk feels like after 4 months or even a little less you should be able to trust someone you’re with... with that secret identity.

I mean his dad is literally Omni Man and even he won’t reveal his identity lol. Pretty sure his dad warned him of sharing it too at some point. It’s not that cut and dry especially with a girl you been dating for a couple months. That’s nothing
All of them seem to be somewhat protective of it even obvious connections like Eve. Mark was also thrown into the superhero game immediately I can understand him needing time.

I don’t know dude, I’m not convinced of the need for secret identities in this show. 🤷🏻♂️
maybe they’ll give more specific reasons later on but i’m not sold on it personally

I’d want normalcy in my life. It’s enough having to save the world every couple days but I’d really prefer to go home and to other places in peace without having every single person know who I am. That celeb s*** does not look fun after a couple weeks and puts you on the defensive 24/7 which is a villains wet dream. You’ll always be behind cus everyone knows where you are and what you’re doing
Then everyone is a risk around you. Yeah sure you’re Invincible and you have powers but literally anyone can just kill people you care about. Why add that worry. Every small issue becomes your fault and your friends and family can’t sleep in peace. It would be so easy for me to be a villain, attack your family so you’re preoccupied and then do what I want to do
When Peter Parker revealed his identity in the comics during Civil War Aunt May was sniped and on her deathbed within a week and he lost his marriage
It really only works if you have limited people you care about and were already a known person prior. Superheroes revealing identities has been an issue that’s been undone almost every time cus it never works for long
Amber really knew his identity then in the college episode was like “WHERE THE HELL WERE YOU!”
But that's why she was mad
I liked the fact it revealed she didn't believe such a blatant lie and was mad at him for thinking she could be so stupid
Kinda dangerous for him to do that willy nilly. He don't know amber like that either. They both can be right
I mean tbh, idk how Mark or Nolan are keeping a secret identity . They’re literally flying in the open in their neighborhood lmao. Falling from the sky Like at that point
But that's why she was mad

I guess you're right but dude wasn't ready to let anyone know at the end of the day. If she knew he was a hero and not on some bullshit then she should've figured that he wasn't ready to tell her yet.

I don’t know man, when you operate under a task force of super powered individuals that are there to save the planet or whatever other crisis is there, normalcy is often disrupted but i generally get that idea.
I think (just like a celeb) you signed up for this kind of thing when you choose to utilize your powers for it.
I’m sure being the guardians of the planet you could afford to get security precautions in place for this sort of thing in this show’s universe.
Omni Man and Mark don’t really seem to mind being so close to their house pitching the ball at super fast speeds with potential people seeing that in broad daylight idk.

From his side I can see the dilemma
But guy keeps letting her down and he can't even be honest about the reason but still desperate to keep slinging her along
The whole "I've changed,I can be a new man" spiel he gave her before he finally revealed the truth was worse than anything she said

Yeah I agree with you. S*** wasn’t working out either way. I’m guessing it’s officially done now

I don’t even look at stuff like throwing the ball in the sky near the house as that risky for this series/universe. It would be IRL but it absolutely isn’t for this show at all.
The people in this universe can’t even recognize Omni Man (for 20 years) even though he wears no face covering. They’re 100% not looking up at the sky. I look at stuff like that as small comedic tones that almost always work for superhero stuff
I think you’re tryna make this too logical of a reasoning when it’s really just unrealistic fiction. Like it doesn’t make much sense in practice but it follows the consistency of the genre. It’s the same way Clark Kent takes off glasses and unbuttons his s*** AT work and somehow no one realizes who he is. This is an 80+ year running joke on people’s stupidity.
I don’t think concepts like this are nearly as fun if everyone just knows who they are. Like your comment about them providing government security to families just sounds dull as a concept even tho it makes so much sense. Like i think you're whole argument is entirely valid i just dont think it works as a concept which is prob why its never fully been done
Knew they had no chance by the early instances of him being late. Prob for the best lol s*** was feeling forced at a point.
Amber is only looking at it from her perspective and could never really understand his side. Didn't understand how she knew but then also got mad at him switching to Invincible on the trip to save their lives. She got valid points just goofy. Human/Superhero pairings not working for this one

Sure i guess i see your point in a lot of ways.
I just think for this show the secret identity trope forces a conflict in Mark and Amber’s relationship that just really makes me sigh in disappointment because it’s just been done to death so much that it’s just not that interesting to me and i’m just being nit picky on it for this show because with every hero in the show so far, it just kinda seems like aside from mark’s story it’s not really something that’s focused on really 🤷🏻♂️

Don't worry, the secret identity thing doesn't become a worry after this for a bit
