They could flesh-out better the characters, put more lore and make the battles more outstanding. Really optimistic but these news about amazon lately are so weird and unnecessary.

Wont touch the movies IMO. Could def > the hobbit though. I liked the hobbit a lot more than it seems most people did. I just hope they stick to his writings. So many shows ruin a series when they try to do their own thing. (GOT, The Walking Dead)

I heard The Leftovers is better than the source material but I didn't manage to read it yet. I agree with your point but I still wouldn't mind taking risks by changing something there and there. Need to have done by the right people or the disaster will be near the corner tho lol
