Sounds like he left voluntarily. Other offers probably. Signing onto a show like this seems like a big time commitment.
Season is about to be a s*** show

What was bad about this to y’all LOTR fans? I found this more or less on par with the movies

Must be talking about the Hobbit movies

I rewatched the first LOTR as I watched this. I genuinely don’t know what y’all mad about. I should tell you I do not hold LOTR in high regard.

I’m not the biggest Lotr fan but this felt pretty corny and motivations were weird throughout. Humans and elves were mostly annoying, I liked the dwarves tho. I liked the villain reveal at the end too.

I feel like all of these complaints are shared with the movies as well though. At least I do.
Show looked almost too expensive at points characters looked so f***ing glossy.
The Elves and Men of Numen I guess, but isn’t that inline with the lore? The movies have elves that dumbass filter which made me feel like I was watching a soap opera anytime they were on screen

I don’t really care about lotr outside the books never seen the two towers actually. I’m not the biggest fantasy fan so yea idk sure. I guess the ratio of annoying characters to chill characters was out of whack for me and since there was no central thrust of the story I was not really invested on a story level. Tbh I was vibing with the orcs the most lol, just let them cook

Fair enough
I’ve been asking for months for y’all LOTR fans actually give me insight onto what I might be missing when it comes to the franchise, but none of y’all ever reply with anything of substance.
I give LOTR it’s just due for being the grandfather of the fantasy genre, but that is really where my praise ends. Many of the derivatives that have come from it, have lapped it, and surpassed what it offers.
