Looked to me like their final farewell idk I don't see her coming on the regular unless he lures her with tales of prison scams
Not to me they had the moment when she smoked with him plus they said she’s his lawyer I believe that she actually is
I'm so happy Walt's last scene is him being an obnoxious scumbag lmao. Hopefully that makes some people realize he's not this 100% alpha male or whatever
Lol seeing this I just thought yeah he really did this s*** all the time and it showed the stark contrast between him and Jimmy and why their “happy endings” are so different
I haven't really rewatched BB since it aired, tempted to go back and rewatch after this
Or... BCS S1-the ep before Nippy, BB, Nippy-Saul gone

First 2 episodes already nutzo
Really shows how easy it was for Walt to change, man was living the most average boring life in his final days and was a laughingstock to his family
It’s insane people can come off watching Breaking Bad and not see Heisenberg for the piece of s*** he is. Dude stopped being sympathetic in the second season it’s fun to root for him at points in the show yeah but he’s in no way the alpha or whatever
It’s cause he represents the red pill ideology. He went from a complacent “weak” man that works way below his pay grade to becoming a powerful mastermind that runs things making millions. Same reason why people cheer on the mob characters in films. They represent the alpha male archetype

Nah she's not his lawyer, she straight up says that she snuck in using an old ID card she had which didn't have an expiration date.

ive rewatched BB like 5 times
kinda wanna do it again now too lol
or i may try watching it like that to switch it up
Brilliant interview with Pete, sums a lot of stuff up and answers a bunch of questions some people have had in here
a couple of schmaltzy moments aside, i thought it was a really good finale.
i kinda love how, in a show nominally about tracking how james mcgill became 'saul goodman' and with so much fan discussion circling around what did/would cause it to happen, the finale sort of circles back to say...he was always like this! and always will be even if he tries his hardest to distance himself from it. and maybe in the end making peace with that is the best he could hope for. I've definitely had issues with how the show has maybe excessively double backed on its themes over its run and how it fed into these sort of discussions i mentioned but imo this was a very clever and subversive way to end it and honestly i feel like people didn't even pick up on it by and large lol.
very rare for a show to have multiple cameos and not have them end up feeling cheap, very well done in that regard.
i think i've said this before in this thread but i wasn't really a huge fan of a lot of the escalating cartel stuff over the last season or two. lalo was an excellent presence within the ecosystem of the show but i felt he lost a lot of what made him so intimidating as the show went on. for me, the show was always at its best doing this slower almost interpersonal character drama stuff, with a sprinkling of the more dramatic BB style stuff sprinkled in. When it largely became about the former, and in turn spinning its wheels when it came to the main characters, i found myself a bit disappointed in it. i know people really liked episode 8 i think it was but i just thought everything with gus and lalo in the lab didn't work all that well and like they were trying to make the show into something it's not and as a result it looked ropey af.
so to largely go back to that for the last run of eps was great for me. i will say tho that i thought the black and white flash forward stuff could've been a little better overall but the finale more than made up for it.
great show, better than BB in a lot of ways and benefitted from them honing their craft on that.
Welp I guess I / we were misguided in our interpretation
Here’s an excerpt from an interview with Gould where he explains:
Actually makes a lot of sense

this was the only moment that was a little much for me
felt kind of Rudy-ish
I thought the ending was mid in all honesty solidifies breaking bad for me as a league above this

I was just thinking how im glad more people are growing out of this trash ass 'quiet guy revenge' stereotype in their media and see it for what it intended to show
hate the fact that its clearly a joke but the guy still reacted like its real and got a hit
does anyone know if this season will be available in full anywhere anytime soon ? my dad hasn’t been able to keep up this last season and amc+ only has last half of the season, which will be gone next week
Nah she's not his lawyer, she straight up says that she snuck in using an old ID card she had which didn't have an expiration date.
Then why is she cool again? Because she volunteers in that place now?

I'd argue it's more popular than it's ever been. The red pill s*** is reaching a new level of popularity right now
