wait so how did this show not win one award? it’s acclaimed across the board
Simple it's about popularity not quality.
“It was that fucking Lalo Salamanca “
Love the delivery of that line so much
That line exemplified how much of a demon to the whole cast Lalo was when I heard it
He pretty much ruined Jimmy’s life (in a way)
was about to buy the blu ray box set but every review is saying something negative about the way it's set up and organized did anyone here buy it and can offer up their opinion on whether or not it's worth it?
Imagine Chuck’s reaction to Jimmy after season 4
Chuck would’ve definitely gone full villain
I will really never see great characters like Gustavo, Mike, Saul or Lalo again. That was peak television right there. Farewell, BB/BCS - verse
Imo a lot of the scenes of Gene after the phone call between him and Kim near the end showed that the life he was living without anybody that truly cared about him (Kim) was leading him to either death or jail. He had given into the worst parts of himself and continued to scheme to try to self medicate the emotional pain he was suffering.
In the finale his original plan was to go full Saul mode and get the best deal possible. It wasn’t until he was on the plane to NM and heard that Kim confessed to Howard’s wife specifically (he didn’t really seemed to phased hearing about the confession submitted to the court) did he make the decision to lie to the feds to make Kim come to trial so she could bear witness to James finally confessing to not just his crimes, but also taking accountability for his biggest regrets.
The Gene scenes have shown us that like Kim said, the life he was living “wasn’t much”. He was a shell of who he used to be and living in a self imposed prison already, at least being locked up he is around people that accept him for who he is. He can finally start the long road to redemption by finally accepting with the consequences of his actions and can maybe redeem some of his soul back. The one person left that truly knows Saul as Jimmy is still in his life. He proved Walt, Chuck, and Mike wrong. He changed.
Nailed it
need an el camino type movie for kim. she was too much dipendent on jimmy fate during last season
Nah, need one for Fring. No matter how much screentime he got, his character was just so intriguing that I could never get enough of him (Pause). Would love see how he grew up and s***
I'll rewatch this in a few years cause I wasn't feeling it
How could you finish this and end up not liking it? Ngl, the first two seasons weren’t that interesting to me and it took me some time to finish it, but anything after S4 is straight gas I can’t see how anyone could think its not good
It’s really crazy how he had EVERYONE in this series scared at one point in time and seemed to always get what he wanted. He even (kinda) managed to kill Gus because of the bell he gave to Hector.
The only person to ever talk themselves out of something Lalo demanded was Jimmy when he managed to send Kim to kill Gus. This is later even admired by Gus himself as he speaks with Kim on the phone. I feel like no one ever brought that up…
Jimmy woulda chilled if not for Kim's toxic privileged ass pushing him to do more schemes just so she could get her a good adrenaline rush
Something I just remembered is that one guy who scammed Jimmys father later told him about the story of wolves and sheep.
Then in the episode where Jimmy and Kim threaten the Kettlemans and Kim is really going overboard trying to ruin their whole existence is one of the few times he actually realizes her influence on him and mentions it briefly. Cause when they get back in the car the first thing he says is “Wolves and sheep huh?“ I think he saw Kim as something he could never be just by himself for the first time there. It’s crazy to see how bad they’ve influenced each other and I think Kims part on this is kinda overlooked at times
