Nah like it’s cool that healthcare is available for those who need it, and I don’t mind paying more in taxes for that.. it helps, but it’s not a perfect system by any means

Do you guys pay a healthcare tax monthly? And how much is it?

Every time you get paid part of it goes to the:

    Canadian Pension Plan

Income Tax (health care, defense, whatever the f*** they want)

    And

    Employee Insurance

And unless you actively check your pay stubs. You don’t even notice it. Like it doesn’t come out of your account.. you just never see that money.

    University 5 grand a semester.

Free health care (no lines either)

    No guns.

    No tolls.

    Less property tax.

    Ya it’s better.

How is no guns a good thing 😂😂 you make it sound like Americans don’t want guns in our country. We do.

Ok that’s sad and all but we have 327 Million people. That’s kind of what tends to happen when you have that many people. We also have way more culture, better food, MUCH better weather, better women, more opportunities, and overall just more s*** to do than Canada. There’s a reason nobody from here goes to Canada. It’s boring, has no culture, and it’s cold as hell.

Look at how desperate these people are to leave their own country because we f***ed it up. We’ve destroyed so many countries I can’t even list them off. I love America but as I’ve gotten older I’ve started to realize why everyone else hates us.

Honestly Gaddafi was f***ing it up just fine before we came along

NATO invaded Libya and knowingly supported fundamentalist rebels that were very open about their racism, and now black people are literally being sold as slaves in Libya.

    Freedom and democracy

African tribes were always treated like trash in Libya, even in the Jamahiriya

I’m probably the biggest critic of America you will ever meet. I’m just trying to be fair. Even though America is basically the most dangerous “first world country” we still have more to offer than any other country on Earth. That’s why everyone is starting to copy American culture. Even Canada. The biggest person to come out of Canada is Drake, a rapper. Rap is the most American music genre ever.

The best part of this thread is Biggs’s saying “yeah America’s lame for doing this” yet big upping countries that literally participated in the intervention as well

Yes he was but it was stable. The country was STABLE. Now Libya is a f***ing warzone with no president and basically no government. We just need to stop going into other countries and trying to “liberate” them. It’s only made things worse for us and the world.

This is true, but if America does stop intervening everywhere, people will call them out for letting genocides happen and say that they had the power to stop it. I don’t think they should have intervened in Libya, but if they had to, they should have at least put more effort into securing the country afterwards

Bro I fell for the bullshit "Gaddafi did nothing wrong" narrative until I actually met fr Libyans who told me everything I read about the Jamahiriya was just bullshit propaganda and that Gaddafi ran the place like a mini-DPRK
Ignore Gaddafi's crimes and you'll live a good life, refuse to cooperate and you'll live in abject poverty
Just trying to encourage people itt not to big up a tyrant just to spite the USA
I mean if I really had to choose between a dictatorship and the anarchy that Libya is in now I'm of course going to go with the former, but I doubt how much better it is on its own

Then what do we do? We’ve already set the precedent that we’re the world’s police so now obviously people expect us to police the world. If this is gonna ever end at some point we will have to put our foot down and say “we’re not doing this anymore”.
