Also most people in the circles you and I visit on the internet are either self hating Americans or hypocritical Europeans. That’s not to say America isn’t tweaking when it comes to foreign policy (like not withdrawing from Iraq even though the native government voted them out) but most people in the world either don’t know about what America’s doing or aren’t particularly bothered by it

Thank you but a lot of what I know about politics he been recently learned (not necessarily America’s standing in the world, I knew that for a minute). Do you realise when the US orchestrates coups it often instigates riots and “supporters” of regime change are often always backed by CIA. This view is made stronger by corporate media which ALWAYS backs US interests when it comes to oil.

Which is why “left wing media” hardly exists to actually put out the truth.

Most recent example is Bolivia where far right supporters of the Jeanine Anez (also far right) instigated numerous “protests” which resulted and still results in racist attacks against native Mestizo people (who outnumber those who vote for violence but are still the poorest group in the country) this is what the US does.

Why do people say this so much? The Military doesn’t choose who they’re going to fight they just do the fighting. Most people that join the Military are mostly there because of the benefits and the money. Blame the politicians that send the Military to go kill people and ruin countries. When a dog bites someone do you blame the dog? No you blame the person who is supposed to be in charge of the dog.

The point is, if you’re aware that an organisation is intrinsically corrupt then you should be aware that supporting them in any way is being an accessory to their crimes. The US hasn’t had a need to go to war since WW2 and even then their motives were questionable.

Soldiers rape, kill, torture people. I’m not saying everyone is a soldier but people still support military by working there.

People join for benefits because of how much money the US puts into military and they are unaware of the military’s crimes partly due to media propaganda.

If the US govt invested that money into education, welfare, infrastructure then it would be easier for people to actually live better.

Yes that’s what I’m trying to say. You can’t blame people for joining the U.S. Military when there are so many benefits for doing so. When we spend so many trillions of dollars on our military why wouldn’t you want to get a piece of that? And I would argue with the idea that our Military is “corrupt”. If anything our country’s morals are corrupt but the military as an organization is not corrupt.

The thing is, most Americans don’t give a s*** about the lives of people from other countries.

The US military is 100% corrupt and you realise all those benefits are just part of its propaganda to draw in young vulnerable people?

Even then, there are those who legitimately support the US’ imperialism abroad and if you join then you are complicit in its crimes.

If anyone in that organisation cared about the lives of people abroad then they’d object to invasions. All you have to do is look on KTT and see how many Americans think there are “good guys” and “bad guys” and then look at those who believe US is good.

The military isn’t corrupt. Can’t really be corrupt if you’re following orders. Soldiers are basically just assets of the government and not much else. How those assets gets used depends on the powers that be aka the ones who are actually corrupt.

Most people who stick around long enough to become an NCO pretty much realize and accept we aren’t necessarily the “good guys” and the bad guys arent necessarily the “bad guys” and plenty soldiers are against invasions. The only ones who are actually supporting it are the misguided ones who enlist thinking they’re gonna do some badass s***, but the military is already kinda pulling away from that.

The organisation is corrupt from the people giving the orders to the people deciding to work for it even with the information that is available. Even the Trump admin tried to protect war criminals from facing persecuation.
