That don't live in the South.
Interracial couples that live in the south genuinely just have a kink of being hated
They watching this then f***ing raw with Harry Potter on in background and tpab
I love that with that directors new quote this has become my most prophetic post
Society of wimpy if that dude from Jurassic park the reboots in it
I had a stroke trying to read this sentence
I wish I could say I did!
I’ll have more to say soon
We will listen when you speak !
damn forgot to give my thoughts:
A completely hollow experience that I’m almost mad at myself for kinda liking the romance angle. Other than that it’s a pretty mediocre movie that appeals only to a certain demographic and that makes me fearful of the way black film is created and presented. And from a narrative angle, this film doesn’t have anything worth gripping onto whether it be the magical side or the sociopolitical one.

It was set up off the title
It was set up off the title
what really got me is that the "magical" element of the film is barely used. I don't even remember the main character using it except maybe once.
and the "magic" is not even anything substantial or unique. it's like teleportation and mind bending lol.
someone said this is like a snl sketch that got stretched out to a movie and yea.. so accurate. as unfunny as a snl sketch
S*** didn't break 2 million
A satire of the Magical Negro trope should have been a layup.
Had to check who directed as I had a feeling they were white
And I'm sad to say I was 50% right
as a non-black person it aint my place to speak in volumes on why this s*** is weird, but it is. feels like a feel good movie for blerds
