I am a black nerd and they leaned way to into cringe on this one. You can make a fun nerdy magic black person movie and have infinitely more fun with it than they did based on trailer.
When I read the synopsis I was like 'oh this could be funny as f***' then saw the trailer and was like they whiffed it
