So this is a trippy thread I wanna start. I'm a bit of an occultist and one of the key studies of the occult is spiritual alchemy. I.e. using the metaphor of alchemical transmutation of lead into gold. On that note, the Islamic alchemist Geber wrote an incredible tract about the transformation of the soul that has been really helpful to me in a time for incredible discord within my personal life. Anyway I am into all this ancient mystical s*** thought you all might like

Ugh wrong link here is the english translation. It's definitely 16th century english, but with a little effort the meanings can be divined

Thanks dude. I'm assuming you've read some of Carl Jung's literature?

Absolutely Jung is hyper important to me. Frankly I am a thelemite, a follower of Aleister Crowley’s religion which so Jungian concepts feature heavily in my spirituality

Dope, man. I'm a big fan of "Man and His Symbols" and "Mysterium Coniunctionis". I've been thinking a lot recently about going back and reading through them again

The use of "Exotic Vacuum Objects," which are produced when matter cavitates, and low-energy transformation demonstrate the reality of alchemy. I haven't heard very many people mention browns gas, which melts whatever you put in it at the necessary temperature without burning hands as they travel through it.

Yeah Alchemy had a spiritual component, but people also forget it in many ways early chemistry in its literal form
