    it really is just that you're unfamiliar with the genre, bc that's how genre's work. and that's how anyone would feel with a genre they're unfamiliar with.

    i remember arguing on twitter with folk saying all of Black Coffee's beats sound the same, even the ones on Honestly Nevermind. for someone who's been exposed to the ins and outs of a genre, it's hard to explain what separates one song from another to someone who's unfamiliar.

    it's like those folk who say "all rap music is the same" and all the various fallacies and misunderstandings behind their argument.

    You'd have to be a pro mental gymnast to not see the lack of emotional sophistication and variety in the music in OP which can be found in the examples you gave
