WalkOnBy dropped as a single
!https://youtu.be/YehrBedUnyo?si=zW4KatEg_s1Ua8zRGood choice
Sunk a few listens in and while I enjoy it, Yes Lawd is far superior to me.
It's also not enjoyable hearing Paak sound all entitled and s***ty. It's like an attempted introspection that you never really feel like rooting for.
Oh dear
Not a very positive note. That's sad to hear
only singles I listened to are Where I Go, Daydreaming, and 86Sentra a couple times. eating so f***ing good in a few days
HER did her thang thang on Where I Go
Still remember her anonymous gimmick being hijacked by HIM

HER was made in a lab

I've played that song so many damn times since it dropped. Beautiful
know that you my mothafuckin cinnamon apple
Her first word as a baby was "Grammy"
I gotta respect HER's dad, he got a great understanding of the LeBron project
Second listen on the plane last night, this s*** is insanely good man. Really makes you appreciate how great all the singles were too
I haven't really revisited this much after the first couple weeks sadly. It's a good listen and a cool vibe but It doesn't stick to your ribs like yes lawd. A lot of it rings kinda hollow, which I get is kinda the point cause it's a break up album but idk
Ok hold on this second listen is hitting a lot harder. Had to delete my first impression review. The music is put together really well
If the album tracks are anything like the singles I’m locked in. Legit all 5 are on par with Yes Lawd in my eyes
People ain’t talking about WalkOnBy like they should
This is probably Paak’s deepest and most personal song ever and all I’m seeing people say is “vibey” or “smooth”
2016 💀
https://twitter.com/enricake/status/760926886239301632lmao bruh if you listen to any of his music, you know that nigga be cheating lol. He literally has a song called sidepiece.
Even if we were take his songs as fiction... c'mon now
throwing on Yes Lawd! before getting that new new
although this project has never left rotation
I don’t think this album came across as bitter at all
It’s clear he’s coming off a break up but I felt when he spoke negatively it came across in a humorous and self aware manner
The adlibs when he says “getting your cheeks beat”
And the skit at the end of “HereIAm” are two examples of this
Kutless so muhfucking smooth. could loop that for 10 minutes.
That’s that s***ttt
