Be honest. Do you think Big and Dre on are the exact same level?
No but I think it's hard to separate them because they're a perfect duo. Hard to imagine one without the other.
Imo how solid, focused and consistent Big Boi is what gave Andre the space to experiment. Without Big Boi it wouldn't have had the same impact. Big Boi kept Outkast grounded.
Also, in the early Outkast songs Big Boi outraps Andre a lot more
I get what OP means. It's like the difference between an indie arthouse film and a blockbuster. But Andre does both, it's one of the things that made him so legendary.

But see even with saying all of that you still make the distinction. You admit they are on different levels and that's all ppl have been trying to say.
Andre has about 2 full albums of feature verses not connected to Big Boi and ppl realize that his skill level is undeniable.
I remember when mfs were mad at thug for not putting Andre 3k in his top 5
i feel like 5 is stretching it 10 is a solid place for someone like him 5 is for jay's and ye's
OP got a point
Think about it, Andre 3000 have a huge talent but it's very easy to drop amazing verses everytime when you record 2-3 times a year
Definitely out of ATL but he’s #15-20 overall
Without a solo discography he can’t be put into any Top 10 discussion. And most of his achievements from Outkast get solely contributed to him because he’s artsy and closer to the style of weird art rap that white folks like.
His talent speaks for himself but his hermit personality keeps him from diluting his image so much and at this point most of the goats aren’t gonna come out and say he’s not Top 5 out of respect
Basically his mysterious persona keeps him in the Top 5 discussion, same reason why Frank, Carti, and Kendrick keep getting gassed higher than they should.
Drop the Lo p****
yeah, you don't know s*** about Atlanta rap.
Cee Lo the rapper F***in' idiot
Cee Lo the rapper F***in' idiot
hate when niggas got an opinion on some s*** they know nothing about.
between the goodie mob albums and his solo output before he went pop, Cee Lo would out bar your favorite rapper during his peak.
And then come back and sing like he came straight out of church service.
Aint letting no out of touch c***that aint even from the A slander Cee Lo.
Cee Lo the rapper F***in' idiot
Y’all be so eager to prove you don’t know a motherfucking thing
He didn’t start doing the singing s*** full time until like 10 years into his career
Frank and Kendrick have dropped some of the best music of their generation they aren’t gassed up higher than they should be
As far as Andre I wouldn’t agrue with anyone who had him top 5 or 10 but I wouldnt argue with anyone who didn’t due to lack of solo work
Cee Lo the rapper F***in' idiot
Same dude who was tryna say Kanye doesn’t have a solo album
Cee Lo the rapper F***in' idiot
Cee Lo used to rap nigga have u never listened to goodie mob
